Photography by Jill was originally started as Jill Bursott Photography in 1983, specializing in wedding photography. The studio was in a small apartment in Metamora and grew to an in home studio in Bartonville in 1990. The studio now encompassed families, children, school portraits and specialized in High School Senior portraits. In 2000, the studio moved to its current commercial location in the Bartonville Industrial Park. JS Events, the school division of Photography by Jill, was officially started in 2007.
Jill earned her Master of Photography degree in 2002 and her Craftsman in 2008. She has won many awards, including 2 Fuji Masterpiece awards for past wedding work, Illinois High School Senior Photographer of the Year 2000, 2002,2008 and Illinois High School Seniors Choice award in 2005 and 2010. She is currently an International Judge in the Professional Photographers of America. Jill was also 2008-2009 President of the Associated Professional Photographers of Illinois. Jill is most proud of being the mother of her three great children - Josh, Mallory and Paige.
